Sony Ericsson Z770i Review

I’ve always been a fan of Sony Ericsson phones, and this new addition to their lineup is almost perfect for my messaging, audio, and camera requirements.

The Z770i, first of all, is very sleek and classy-looking. It’s very unlike more expensive phones these days that look a bit too plastic for me. However, Sony Ericsson could have done something about the back panel. The cover for the battery could have been made invisible, or the whole back panel could have been the cover. That would have added a more seamless effect.

It has all the basic messaging features nowadays: text messaging, multimedia messaging, long SMS, e-mail, predictive text input, sound recorder, and my most favorite of all, instant messaging. It has great audio features as well. It includes a FM radio, Media Player, RDS
TrackID™, PlayNow™, MegaBass™, Bluetooth™ Stereo A2DP, MP3 & AAC music tones, polyphonic tones and ringtones.

Wherever I go, I never pass up a chance to take pictures of unique, funny, or memorable moments. When I’m bored, I also take pictures and experiment on angles. The imaging features of the Z770i are well-suited to the average to above average user. For me, the camera could have had higher megapixels. Also, it could have had a higher digital zoom. The Photo Fix feature is supposed to make up for the lower (but not that low) megapixels. Picture Blogging, video recording, playback, and streaming are all functional.

For users who like games, you’ll be happy to note that this SE phone has Java™, 3D, and downloadable games. If you get tired of the pre-stored games, you can always download from the Sony Ericsson website.

This phone is 3G-enabled, has Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
