Nokia n82 Review

Today I put my hands on the latest Nokia n82.

First thing that impressed me was its style - simplistic and different from all nokia’s I’ve seen so far. The phone’s body is made from plastic, that’s why I felt a little cheap when touching it :) The ratio between the display and a general size of the phone is good - big screen and small phone, which many of us like.

The keyboard, similar to Nokia 6080, isn’t very comfortable. Upper, we will find the nav-pad and the menu button - common design of Nokia. I can’t say anything of those, easy to push those buttons :)

Taking a “software point of view” there’s not much to say - the phone comes with Symbian OS 9.1 so the functions are pretty similar to Nokia N95.

The phone comes built-in with GPS and Wi-Fi. I tried the GPS a couple of time and it worked! Makes me think it has a better GPS device built-in then Nokia N95.

As usual, the camera lens and flash are located on the back side. Next to them is a small slider that opens/closes the lens cover; The camera is 5mpx one - very good quality, made some very good panorama pictures with it.

Overall, to make myself understood, this is the same Nokia N95 with a different design! Nice and worthy phone. It’s 100 EUR cheaper then the N95, so it worths it.

Nikon D700 Review

The Nikon D700 sports a 12 MP, compact, full-frame in FX format and professional features. For those who have used the D300 model it is quite the same with the Nikon D700 in terms of built though it only has a larger viewfinder but when you look inside it is almost the same. You might be a bit disappointed but the Nikon D700 has a quite slower shutter from 5 to 8 frames per second with MB-D10 battery grip.

The Nikon D700 has improvements over the D300 which are Image Sensor cleaning, hard button programming is more flexible, Live View virtual horizon and several DX mode indication into the focusing screen. One thing that stands out on the Nikon D700 is its built in flash which is the first in professional Nikon DSLR breed. The only competition the D700 must face is the Canon EOS 5D. Since, the D300 has set the level high in terms of capturing high-quality images the D700 is expected to do so. And so, this camera was able to met the expectations and it excels in intense high-contrast and low-level conditions.

The D700 is perfect for those who are looking for DSLR that is perfectly balanced on the move, without compromising its resistance to moisture and dust and also its durability. It also has an impressive solid glass pentaprism, coverage of 95% and AF point led that is adjustable for an uninterrupted, bright view and this is just one of the great advantage of having FX format cameras.
