Nikon Coolpix P60 Review

Digital cameras have flourished for many years now and because of the large competition out there, people are often at a loss in the choice of the perfect digital camera for their personal use. The Nikon Coolpix P60 is an excellent camera to begin with since it is made for general use.

The Nikon Coolpix P60 is a compact camera that has tons of features beneath its size. It has a 2.5 inch LCD and features an 8.1 mega pixel sensor. Image stabilization is automatically done by the camera. It also has a 5x zoom which will do just fine if you just need an ordinary day camera.

The build of the Nikon Coolpix P60 is not really eye catching and resembles so much to that of a conventional camera. It is even finished in plastic which is generally weak. However, its ergonomics is passable and even has a textured grip in order to avoid the dropping of the camera. Buttons are also well oriented and are very effortless to locate. The menu of the Nikon Coolpix P60 is also very simple to navigate.

A good thing about the Nikon Coolpix P60 is that it is a very silent but smooth operating camera. The lens work perfectly fine and even focusing was relatively easy. Problems with the flash are one thing that Nikon could improve on in its next model – it takes a significant amount of time to recharge the flash with this model.

Image quality is nothing to be worried about with the Nikon Coolpix P60 because it does take great shots. Battery life is even superb allowing 300 shots and a few minutes of video to be taken before draining out.

Nikon Coolpix P60 is definitely one fully-featured compact digital camera. It is even listed as one of the top digital cameras being used today.
